Daddy
Daddy, oh daddy,
Where do I begin?
It's been oh so long,
But I can see you again!
I can, can't I?
You won't reject me again?
Your eldest daughter,
The one you should spoil rotten,
Instead was discarded like spoiled goods.
Was I good enough?
Am I good enough now?
I know I've sinned,
But daddy,
I promise I'm a good girl really.
Do you love me again?
Did you love me ever?
Am I good enough for love at all?
Can you look me in the eye,
And tell me why?
Why you left?
What did I do?
I couldn't have hurt you that much.
Not like you hurt me.
Oh daddy!
I forgive you!
And when you leave again,
I'll forgive you then too!
Because I love you daddy!
Can't you just love me back?
Where do I begin?
It's been oh so long,
But I can see you again!
I can, can't I?
You won't reject me again?
Your eldest daughter,
The one you should spoil rotten,
Instead was discarded like spoiled goods.
Was I good enough?
Am I good enough now?
I know I've sinned,
But daddy,
I promise I'm a good girl really.
Do you love me again?
Did you love me ever?
Am I good enough for love at all?
Can you look me in the eye,
And tell me why?
Why you left?
What did I do?
I couldn't have hurt you that much.
Not like you hurt me.
Oh daddy!
I forgive you!
And when you leave again,
I'll forgive you then too!
Because I love you daddy!
Can't you just love me back?
