The Devil

Whispers in my ear
What is wrong, what is right
Telling me not to fight it
I don't have to be so close minded
Confused, don't know what to do
Whispers in my ear
Telling me to choose
Always follows me, guides me, fights me
Untill I choose, it follows
I believe in God
I believe in Jesus
I believe in the Devil

What do I do
I cannot hear you, I feel you
Telling me things, horrible things
I don't need your love
I need your word
Why would I do your works
When I don't hear a word

Oh, but girl you hear me no?
You just ain't listening though
My voice is inside since you let me in
So this is where I'm a have you begin
This is your duty, I let you go
Now do my works and you will know
I am here with you, don't imagine me a ghost
Because these days you need me the most
Don't fear to ask, but be careful what you wish for
No longer is this your choice, now do as I say
I don't need to hear your voice
Because you need to be careful what you say
Be careful who you talkin' to okay
