humiliated

 you unwrapped my dignity
like a cheap paper bag,
you exposed things to
shame me and purposely
made other people
laugh.
now they look at me
like i'm just sad,
go back to living in your shoe
you ol'hag.
my views of the world
crumbled really fast.
now the innocence
is washed and a hard
edge has been born.
this is what it feels
like to be a woman scarred 
with her own sensibilty
gone.
