My blade

A blade on my skin
I need it like other people need air in their lungs
It keeps me going
It gives me feelings that I can't normally experience
I'm so numb without it
My blade is my life support
We have been through so much together
It's been there for me when no one else was
My blade is my best friend
It will never leave me, because I won't let it
It gives me an escape
It gives me an outlet
It gives me a reason to put it down
Cause just like a person
All it will do is hurt me more and more
