Anniversary
You become language,
projected through mere words.
Perhaps you're my language
just because I write to you sometimes.

Re: Anniversary
Though most of the pieces I've read by you are short to say the least, I always find myself contemplating something beyond the general meaning. A perfect example in this.

I am making assumptions here....which can also be called 'reading between the lines'....that there is a yearning for a relationship that is beyond merely a casual exchange of written words to a more robust relationship between real people....
signed - to my dearest....is a cry for the company of a beloved....spare in words, strong in feeling......

thank you Kitty. I embrace assumptions and interpretations and i really like yours. The truth is that i keep writing about my Dearest so she becomes a coated figure behind words rather than the actual person. It's about my nanny whom we lost 3 years ago. She's no longer with me so words/language/poetry is the only medium i can 'communicate' with her and her loss.
i hope that explains it a bit :)
thank you once again .

A deeply poignant and serious poem, philosophising in four short lines about the nature of poetry and its real-life subjects. Thank you for the read.

i have no memories
worth while of my elderly ones
long lost
and i know none will remember me
when I become frost
