What has been done?

Try and breathe in the air
That is filled with many things that kill
Is this fair as many are choking and left dying in despair?
I can see the smog over the highest hill

The things we make and the many vehicles we drive
Only harm our lungs and bodies in the end
Time will tell if anyone will survive
It's God's land to defend

We are to blame
Of what has been done in the past and now
Our greed and needs put us to shame
If only we can fix this somehow

The land is full of trash
An the water is not as clear as it used to be
Destruction of man kind for cash
We can't go no where safely

Hazardous waste lying somewhere
Sewage leaking out in many ways
Many act with no care
As my mind wonders to a rare corn maze

How can we ever repent for all these sins?
Company and consumer guilty forever
As earth functions barely on needles and pins
Extinction to the final bird and feather
