Lonely

I take my stance, to be or not to be who you want me to be.
You want me to be who you are, yet see me as a poser when I try.

You want me to wash away my life with drugs like you do.
You want me to lack simple respect like you do.

Young in age I was when I saw your stupidness,
young when I chose to be who I am.

I did not lack respect, and a drug I did not take.
Angry I was at those killers of kindness.

Love lacks in their heart, never in mine.
Perfect I claim not to be, but can I say I am better?

Better at heart and deed, am I not?
Better may be out there, but rare a find it would be.

Humble I am, but what I see shocks me.
Does it not shock the reader?

Money wasted on drugs, even legal drugs.
Kindess extended to the self.

These are horrors of life, things common, yet not in me.
I raised my hand to help others, only to be hurt.

This is life, the world. Never cared for, always broken.
They wanted me to go away, friends turned to hate.

They never cared did they, to push me away with anger.
Freedom they had to kill the true me.

Anger grows inside me, an unhealthy anger.
This anger, it boils my blood, blind I feel.

Time has come, for my choice. Friendly goodbye,
for talk I will no longer choose. Love, it is gone.

The world cares not for itself, it envisions hatred,
love shall exist not, as not sense.

It is not a place for me, so disappear I shall.
