N ever / P atronise / D elinquents

You put me on stage, and nailed
Stern little pins through my brave little toes;
Pins of indignity that vitiate colour
In those glaring stage lights.
They make average, filly frights
Into
Grandiose cowardice.
You thought me remiss
But I know, I own the world.
I’ll wave my handsome wand and you’ll
All clap your hands.
Bare eyes make the soul naked,
I know your desires.

So don’t I,
Undoubtedly,
Deserve them much more,
Than you –
So much so that I’ll use you like
A theist sews contingency
To the ventricle - port
And says:‘Hail Satan, Hail Jesus
Hail Daytime TV.’

Never expect
A patriot to
Grow when you Patronise.
Frequent claims
Of lukewarm shame
Invites Delinquents
To your demise.
