The Fire Returns
The mind chooses to wander,
To thoughts and places far off,
And naught to do but ponder.
The heart begins to race,
A thousand beats per minute,
With every smile I see upon your face.
The eyes radiantly sparkle bright,
Revealing all the truth within,
Because of your loving passionate light.
Standing strong is easy to do,
As your gaze is fixed upon me,
Everything I am - I am because of you.
It seems like forever and a day,
Have quickly come and gone,
Since you first looked my way.
Many tears have fallen,
This I openly admit,
But ne're again - the heart is no longer stallin'.
Upon this road I walk,
With a smile upon my lips,
And a love in my arms that I will protect like a hawk.
Here I sit as the mind returns,
From its journey far and wide,
With wild heated passion and a love that brightly burns.
To thoughts and places far off,
And naught to do but ponder.
The heart begins to race,
A thousand beats per minute,
With every smile I see upon your face.
The eyes radiantly sparkle bright,
Revealing all the truth within,
Because of your loving passionate light.
Standing strong is easy to do,
As your gaze is fixed upon me,
Everything I am - I am because of you.
It seems like forever and a day,
Have quickly come and gone,
Since you first looked my way.
Many tears have fallen,
This I openly admit,
But ne're again - the heart is no longer stallin'.
Upon this road I walk,
With a smile upon my lips,
And a love in my arms that I will protect like a hawk.
Here I sit as the mind returns,
From its journey far and wide,
With wild heated passion and a love that brightly burns.
