If I am made in his image, then he too CAN NOT believe without proof. If he is there he is cruel.

Wow, this is very deep, and a lot of this is true, religion has often been used as an excuse and reason behind selfish gains and malevolence. I too struggle with my thoughts about a higher power, i don't want to worship a selfish God, a God who is vindictive and petty.
