Sole survivor
I fought until I had nothing
more to give. Now I stand
and look at the battlefield.
Friends and foes alike,
strewn about, dead and
dying.
I can hardly stand,
so I let my bloody sword
drop to the ground.
I look up and behold
the red morning sky.
Red, the colour of blood.
"So this is victory,"
I think. "And I am the
sole survivor".
