I wish to write a love poem

Read few works of great poets and I’m so inspired,
how well they wrote of finding love and it’s grievous loss;
to write one such poem, has been my long desire,
then wonder, how I’d write of love, that never was.

Well, I can write about a star, disowned by the sky,
or bursting of a lonely cloud, it’s how and the whys;
can write about some flowers, ignored and left to dry,
or colors’ leap as rainbow, when flowers kiss the sky.

I can write about some people, their lies and deceits,
or cravings of few bonded souls, yearning to be free;
can write about relations, their silence and the bleats,
or how dry leaves of jungle, conspire to burn trees.

Isn’t there always a tender song, waiting to be sung,
hoping for its first flight with half-grown pinions;
colors dry outside canvas, in wait for artisan;
if love comes, it’s fine with me or else, other poems.
