To love an Unknown

Loving something unknown
She had to say goodbye
Without a choice of uttering hello
Sitting there numbed with sorrow

Knowing a life was growing within
Told only after you vanished
Created from two peoples love
DNA mixing precisely constructing life

A process so complex
Yet the actions so effortlessly done
An intimate creation
Love unconditionally before ever meeting

Wishing she was allowed the chance to know
Not just a feeling of a loss to grieve
A loss unknown causing a hankering pain
Not aware of your existence has wounded her  soul

An unexpected love, growing in her body
Someone made has fallen empty
Feeling a sense of failure from her body

Some say you can’t lose something you never had
For a short time you were silently hidden
So small no eye could see
So small I couldn’t sense

This was a gift  she had for just a short time
her belly will not grow to a rounded swell
No occasion to hear your heartbeat
No prospect, no option to enjoy your life

Natural factors interfered
Deciding your existence was not to be
A sorrow will ache in her eternally
For you and your father, will always remain within
