Perception
I felt her calculated words reaching
for my ears.
Carried by the chilled wind of the night.
Each word freezed with cold
like Iceburgs floating on the antarctic sea;
She hated me.
I would have frozen dead, right on my
tracks, to her eternal delight
If not that my boiling blood was, at then,
heated from a burning heat escaping
an intense fire that was my heart-
Heaving as though vexed, like the release
of magma from a volcanoe;
I hated her more.
Sudden tears, from nowhere, fell from her
eyes, a drop rolled down her face, and
another sudden one followed;
She loved me
I watched in dismay. This unexpected
twist of events left me worried and unsure.
My thoughts headed everywhere like a
falling leaf caught by a breeze;
I loved her once more
Alas, it happened! In a flash!
Her cold words were as soft as feather,
And my angered flesh, a cozy warm hug.
