Perplexity
I hold it
look at it
touch it
have it right here.
I can smell it
taste it
hear it
see the depth
of it
with my eyes.
It seems so real
that capturing its essence
and swallowing it
only seems to lack
its total digestion,
and yet
I cannot find it
in my heart
to carry it
any further
than
an unimagined
space.
I cannot even
call its name
and yet
not an it
not an object
but rather an in between
that nothing seems to fit
that has a name.
A memory
that only has
its silence
as the trace
of its existence.
Something
halo ventured in
that orbit
that has flown
into the cosmic trust
and bars my senses
from its heart
and there it lies
beyond the door
and I for one
just cannot bare
the weight
of its perplexity.
