"You're not meant
to write
every poem
with the intention
of leaving the reader
distraught and broken,
and depressed
for that matter."
She blew her cigarette
smoke towards me,
her lips
pursed so lightly

I smiled
and said
"Of course
i dont
go out
of my way
to write
about
the savagery
of life,
but you tell me
what to think
of finding
a tattered toddlers
dress in the forest?"
