Loneliness...in isolation and depression...seeking solace...and in desperation reaching out to grasp, and cling to...HOPE.
H o p e--without it our existence is like being stranded on your deserted island.

Your comparative analogies are what , I feel, truly makes this poem outstanding, and memorable, for me. ( Pennies, though of little value, are as precious jewels when gathered, and saved, with h o p e; With hope we find the strength and courage to "watch" for those "ships of rescue."

Dark Enchantress you are to kind. Thank you for your praise (which oddly enough, exceeds the length of the poem). I treasure your insights and truly value all of your remarks. Sadily I don't like this poem, Prehapes that's why I kept it so short, but I am glad that you got some enjoyment out of it.
