THIS IS HOW IT STARTS

HER
The work day is over but she doesn’t want to go
home yet she opts for happy hour at the bar.
She walks in, a strange man grin…
And this is how it starts.
He buys her a drink to loosen her up she tells him
her relationship has lost its spark.
He understands, buys her a few more drinks…
And this is how it starts.
He offer his cell phone number if she should ever need
A friend he says “maybe we can meet at a park.”
She blushes as she accept his number with a promise
to call soon…
And this is how it starts.

HIM
He says to himself “why she gotta accuse me of shit? Nagging
of my whereabouts so what if I come home after dark.
An old friend call he explains it all…
And this is how it starts.
She says “when we were together I trusted you I never questioned
where you are.”
He thought back and smiled of good times gone by…
And this is how it starts.
She invites him to her place for conversation, she knows he is weak in the heart.
He accepts her invitation while thinking “there’s nothing wrong with talking.”
And this is how it starts.

He left her emotionally; She left him sexually but there bond is too strong for for them to part.
She finds comfort in a new friend; He finds comfort in an old friend…
And this is how it starts.
