Harlequin Heart

- Harlequin Heart -

I’m the kind of girl, who’s honest and sweet,
But I get lied to a lot by the guys that I meet!
They want to know what I’m thinking, that’s okay.
But a girl’s got to save something for a rainy day!
So maybe I’ll tell you, or maybe I’ll shut up…
I’m not just a toy; my lips aren’t your wine cup.
But if you’re nice, I’ll let you play!
Because I like nice guys, that’s just my way.
I don’t think I’ve met the one I’m destined for,
So I’m looking to the future, for what’s in store.

People say I’m like a little girl sometimes,
It keeps me young: you can see it in my rhymes!
I like to laugh, and I sing when I’m happy…
Did you ever want to know that side of me?
I know I’m hot, but I’m so much more!
I’m a princess, baby, not just your whore.
But if you’re nice, I’ll let you have some fun!
Try not to get burned, before we’re done.
I like to wear red and black, to suit my mood,
My heart’s dark and passionate; I’m no prude!

I’ve a harlequin heart, don’t you know…
Not every guy can handle it, I’ve been told so.
If you’re not into me, then just go away!
But if you’re nice, you’ll get what I say.
I’m flexible, so other girls rock my world too,
My heart’s always looking for my love true.
Don’t know what it looks like, and I don’t care!
I’ll know when I find it, so buyer beware…
With me what you see if what you get!
I’ve a harlequin heart, and don’t you forget.
