Release
Tainted breath escapes through
My cracked, dry lips
As I slide the cold steel
Across my skin.
I watch my life essence
Drip on the tiled floor
While I fill the tub
With red hot water.
I shed my skin
To lose my identity
So I can find my soul.
I slide ever silently
Into my watery grave.
The water envelopes me
Like a lover's embrace.
The heat sinks ever deeper
Into my opened flesh.
My eyelids are heavy
And I can't wait to sleep.
Hear my heartbeat soften,
Feel my breath go limp.
My hair floats around me
Like feathers on the breeze.
This is my release,
This is my escape,
This is my chance
To do as I please.
My cracked, dry lips
As I slide the cold steel
Across my skin.
I watch my life essence
Drip on the tiled floor
While I fill the tub
With red hot water.
I shed my skin
To lose my identity
So I can find my soul.
I slide ever silently
Into my watery grave.
The water envelopes me
Like a lover's embrace.
The heat sinks ever deeper
Into my opened flesh.
My eyelids are heavy
And I can't wait to sleep.
Hear my heartbeat soften,
Feel my breath go limp.
My hair floats around me
Like feathers on the breeze.
This is my release,
This is my escape,
This is my chance
To do as I please.
