I no longer care, I care
I tell myself I no longer care,
Why does your past haunt me?
My insecurity, lack of trust?
Self respect. Letting go of me, for you.
We cannot meet in the middle, because the road that leads to you, is completed.
Or is it?? The destination, yet a continued journey???
With the back-lash of your past, but your commitment is to me.
I ponder, I think, I no longer really care,
I want to reconnect with me,
Because I care

We sometime take so much time trying to be who we are not to please someone else. We loose who we are. Everyone has a past, but it is the present that we need to focus on and move forward. I preach to myself here as well. :)
