As a Rhino

It really was a sight to see,
We ran the loop so gracefully.
My 'mate deserves more praise than me,
The ball flew like an arrow.

And icy rain was all the air
For thirty boys of fitness fair;
For Berkeley's boys with blood to spare
For want of being hero.

But, time was very thin by then.
All hope was drown and sodden when
One last try! we'll rally 'gain!
Through Tongan fury we go!

And with a pass, we had some space.
And with a step, there was a race.
And with a shoulder, he fell in place
And all our side aglow.

Still, all feels like yesterday.
A pitch of mud, a game to play.
But, true enough, it went away
To stay in years ago.

Now, my days are warm and soft.
Its been many years since the jersey doffed.
But, late at night, I'll still think oft'
Of running as a Rhino.
