There It Goes
Trying to reach my atmosphere
Treading water through the dawn
Another thorn is stuck in my side
Little stars they refuse to be
I've been unsteady for awhile now
Both feet struggling to hold my weight
Every burden is trapped inside my mind
But I know I can't keep living this way
Everything I've seen
The worst is far behind now
My chains they cease to hold me
I'm learning to breathe all over again
There goes every open door
That has caused my misery
There goes every open door
Breaking my back no more
I can't claim what isn't there
I'm not comfortable in slow motion
But to make my way back to me
I must reopen the wound
Severed eyes coming alive
Heart beating a familiar tune
Brown eyes with specks of grey
Reminding me who I am
Everything I've seen
The worst is far behind now
My chains they cease to hold me
I'm learning to breath all over again
There goes every open door
That has caused my misery
There goes every open door
Breaking my back no more
Lonely storm you won't last
Across your sky, streaks of light
Unraveling a million miles untraveled
Reimbursed relief coating my skin
But I know the burden inside
Can it be my efforts were in vain
If I can't make my way back to me
How can I embrace what I lost
Everything I've seen
The worst is far behind now
My chains they cease to hold me
I'm learning to breath all over again
There goes every open door
That has caused me misery
There goes every open door
Breaking my back no more
There goes every open door
There goes every open door
There goes every open door
There it goes
Treading water through the dawn
Another thorn is stuck in my side
Little stars they refuse to be
