Image for the poem Midnight Window

Midnight Window

If you, by gentle breeze, awake
Amid the midnight's still embrace
Adrift from all was commonplace
unawares of the sake

And sift through splintered bits of mind
Dew stained cheeks and forgotten kind
And find of Man a forsaken race
Of children dumb and adults blind

The threads that bind can never break
Even when darkness seems unyeilding
And the right's replaced by the unappealing
The truth by lie, the real by fake

Know amongst the shards of past
The broken glass of window pain
True love, once born, will always last
Agrounded dove will fly again
