It's 11:00pm on December 31 2012
And I look back on this past year
As a great year
Love, heartbreak and discovered more about myself
But on this night I find myself
Sad that this year has passed and
Scared of what the new one will bring
This night isn't any different from last
Except that it makes these thoughts seem more important
And of interest
I think im scared of wasting another year of my youth
Wanting to skip over it and be at a different stage in my life
Older, out of the house, Independent
But writing this
I have found something unexpected
For once in my life a Resolution
A New Years Resolution
That wasn't forced on me
No stupid; I'll go to the gym, be in a relationship (oh please who are you fooling) or I'll have a healthier lifestyle
Cut the bullshit
In 2013 I will be young,
I'll have the time of my life, possibly a little reckless
That is my goal
And it is gona happen
Watch out because I'm writing this story
And You could be in it. ;)

Not all resolutions are a disappointment Wade not if you achieve them and if not take something from them that could change for the better of your future

Oh, read the poem, Wade...it does seem towards the end, when you say, "Cut the bullshit" that you are scrapping some loftier resolutions for ones that you deem more attainable and realistic. Anyway, this piece has a nice, natural flow to it, and a very relatable scene, with a hefty dose of realism.
