Disgust Inside

We run to hide
Guilt in our eyes
Disgusted inside
From our own lies

A pain with a catch
Eats within
We are no match
A war to win

Can we fight
Our dreams
Without our sight
And screams

We could run
Cower in fear
Hide from the sun
Keep ourselves near

If only we
Could give hope
Another chance to see
That we can cope

But we are cowards
For trying to believe
Standing in cold showers
Pretending to see

A path stretched out
Begging for forgiveness
Clearing no doubt
Laying in solidness

We pretend not to learn
Running to hide
Ignoring what heard
