"Flash.... Agghh"

First there was thunder
then there was light
sent to the hospital
to put up a fight.
i awoke in a field
the feeling was frightening
who would believe i
was struck by lightning?
My body and face
covered in burns
scar tissue in my throat
nose, ears and lungs.
Three years later
i am still slightly deaf
and i walk with a cane
and i veer to the left.
My eyes are still blind
a corona of stars
a traumatized mind
like mine
wont take me far.
I hide under bed sheets
when the skies are aloud
with the sound of Valkyries
riding lightning
with a Calvary of thunder
i close my eyes
and wish away the pain
and pray for a peaceful
nights slumber
undisturbed by the
morning rain.
