Just a myth, I suppose

Cherries drop on the ground
they get smashed and bruised
They have their purpose
But not for your Mandingo Delight

A Mandingo always long where it counts
the heart of a warrior
suggest vigor, stamina, power
satisfaction or it's myth in demand

The cherries that ripened
and are consumed by birds or insects
close but not quite
Not quite your Mandingo Delight

The slave hand who was required to toil
in the fields to survive
by night provided entertainment
for the plantation wives

The one cherry that is prized
not tart but so rewarding on the lips
the delight so wanted to be repeated
Full glory as Mandingo Delight
