Nearer...

[Note:fanfiction. this is mostly for the eyes of those who've been addicted to anime, and know the manga of death note. But anyone can read this, just don't blame me if you don't understand...... (─‿‿─)]









It's been quite sometime since I was called N, I am now mostly known as L. And by far the most memorable case since I was named L, was the KIRA case, although Light Yagami was not much of a foe, and i did get vengeance for L's death. Currently, the so called "Notebook of Death" or "Death Note" is locked up away and I can't seem to see the bright side in all of this. What would L think? Would he think that I am doing a good job of being, well, L? I think I'm going to play with my tarot cards now

Piece by piece that world was recovering from the KIRA case, and a few that knew L, the original L, had died were also recovering from the loss of the greatest detective ever. One of those people was Nate River, or more commonly called Near. Although the KIRA case was over, there have been reports of people dying suddenly. All of which were investigated by Near or should I call him L? And once heard that it was being investigated, the killings would stop. Probably new got out, huh? News that L had solved the KIRA case. Now that is intimidating, but was it really a fact that got out? Nope, it was just a rumor, at least according to some.... But fortunately only a few "nuts" believed.

"L, ᴅɪᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴇᴀʀ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴛʜɪs ɴᴇᴡ ᴅᴇᴛᴇᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ sᴏʟᴠᴇᴅ ᴀ ʙᴜɴᴄʜ ᴏғ KIRA-ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴄᴀsᴇs? I ʜᴇᴀʀ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʜᴇ's ᴄᴀʟʟᴇᴅ O!" The new CIA Agent, named Ryan Fickler, said. Agent Fickler, who do you think I am to not know this?

"Yup," Near replied quite annoyed by Fickler, he then focused his attention back to his tarot card castle, which by now was six feet tall and currently five feet wide.

I don't know who this O is but he might be a great rival. Who knows?

"Sᴏᴍᴇ sᴀʏ ᴛʜᴀᴛ O sᴜʀᴘᴀssᴇs ᴇᴠᴇɴ L" Agent Fickler added

"Ｆｉｃｋｌｅｒ, ｓｈｕｔ ｉｔ!" Agent Rydner said. Rydner, why waste your breath, face it, that idiot Fickler may be right. Still, I won't give up that easily. In the end, L always solves the case. I kept silent about the research I did and still am doing about this O. I must admit though, he hides very well. Does he suspect that he is being investigated? If he does, then why doesn't he try to contact me? Is he playing me? Fine! O I accept your invitation!
