One For The Other

Johhny met a girl last year,
 
and fell like a shooting Star.
 
His Courage barely overcame His Fear,
 
and He offered Her His Heart.
 
She said "Johnny, you're a funny guy,
 
But you're just not the one for me.
 
Besides, there's someone else I like,
 
And He's the only Fish inside my Sea."
 
Suddenly the World was gone,
 
and He felt like He was alone.
 
It was something like a country song,
 
but it hit a little closer to Home.
 
But some Hope still, for him, remains,
 
In the eyes of a beautiful girl.
 
And though She's not the one His Heart retains,
 
She'd love a chance just to be in His World.
 
But He said "Girl, you could never be mine,
 
You're just not the one for me.
 
You're so Beautiful and so Kind,
 
but there is only one Fish in my Sea."
 
Suddenly the world was gone,
 
and She felt like She was alone.
 
It was tragic, as a sad, sad song,
 
and She cried under the cover of Home.
 
Her best friend saw that Her Heart was torn,
 
and found the courage to show Her His Love.
 
Now that on His sleeve his Heart was worn,
 
He hoped that maybe it was just enough.
 
She said "Oh, I knew that that's what you'd say,
 
But you just can't be in Love with Me.
 
Somebody's already swept me away,
 
And He's the only Fish in my Sea."
 
Suddenly the World was gone,
 
And He felt like He was alone.
 
I guess sometimes that's how it comes along.
 
One for the other, so we end up alone.
 
And it just goes on...
