After
Urban obelisks
formerly alight and alive with occupation,
now empty shells devoid of luminescence,
standing silent vigil
over the once bustling scenery.
Concrete rivers,
cracked and unused,
the picture of organized perfection
giving way to disrepair;
budding veins of green
sent to reclaim.
Monolithic letters
send a silent scream
over decayed newspapers and billboards,
no one left around
to read of what they warn.
All writing remains the property of the author. Don't use it for any purpose without their permission.
