Forever Free
This story starts out with a beautiful girl,
Walking through life on top of the world.
Loving each day that she can look at the trees,
Loving the way her life blows in the breeze.
The nicest young girl you could ever know,
If she had a hateful side she didnt let it show.
Well, late one night she was walking home,
I couldnt tell you why she was walking all alone.
She ran in to a couple of guys,
Who used their charm and lies as a disguise.
They told her they were lost and didnt know their way,
And if it wasnt too much trouble they need a place to stay.
Nice as she was, she smiled, then said she couldnt help.
If only she had known, she could have helped herself.
She could have walked down some other street,
She wouldnt have wound up broken on the concrete.
But she had no way of knowing the things in store that night,
She chose that long, dark road that changed her course of life.
The two men were not lost, no, they lived close by,
And when she tried to go along her way they hit her with a pipe.
Knocked her out then took her home and tied her to a bed,
Took her clothes off, gagged her mouth and blind folded her head.
For hours she tried to kick and scream,
For a second she thought it might even be a real bad dream.
They raped that girl so many times,
By the time they were done she had lost her mind.
She just layed there silent with wide open eyes,
Starring at the blindfold no longer screaming cries.
The guys were not quite done though, much was still in store,
They beat her till her skin was blue and then beat her some more.
They let her loose of all her binds,
And made sure that her eyes were blind.
They gouged her eyes out with a pocket knife,
For a crime like that surely meant bars for life.
They couldnt have her see their face,
And get em caught up with a real bad case.
And they didnt want to kill her,
Somehow THAT was too much to endure.
They let her go, just left her in some park,
Left her there an inch from death, alone and in the dark.
She couldnt see a single thing so she started to yell,
Hoping that someone would hear and run over to help.
Well, someone did, an old couple heard her screams,
They rushed over and saw a sight worse than any they could dream.
A naked girl beat half to death and missing both her eyes,
Both drew in a wicked breath and then began to cry.
They called for help and covered her, tried to calm her down,
She breathed so deeply and so fast but never made a sound.
The police arrived and an ambulance right after,
None of them could understand what monster could do this to her.
At the hospital her parents came and cried when they caught sight,
Their baby girl was torn apart and so far from alright.
The cops came in to question her about anything she heard,
She shook real bad and covered her ears but didnt say a word.
So the guys responsible just got away,
Without the slightest price to pay.
Later that night her parents woke,
Her monitors were going nuts, they thought something had broke.
But nurses rushed into the room and doctors right behind,
Hit the lights and they all found the worst thing they could find.
She was covered in her own blood and it still was running down,
She bit off her own tongue and bled to death right on the ground.
Her mother screamed and left the room,
The sight was too much to consume.
Her father ran straight to her side,
Picked up her head and looked to the sky.
He begged and pleaded for an act of grace,
He asked the stars to let him take her place.
That beautiful girl was way too young to die,
It was so hard to take that even the doctors cried.
At her funeral thousands of people came,
All were there to honor her and take away her pain.
Right beside her casket was a giant picture frame,
Inside it she was smiling so beautiful and plain.
Her eyes glowed green and she looked so free,
Now she really was, and her pain had been relieved.
She now rests 'neath a big stone tree,
With a plaque that reads "Forever Free".
Every now and then you'll see her there,
Sitting in the breeze, lost inside a stare,
Forever Free.
