All I Was

The years have known me well
Wearing my bones like a rental
Causing the strife in my heart

I searched for that distant shore
I don't expect to find my equilibrium
With the distance between the two

Rearrange and disengage
With my feet on the ground
Holding my head up high
I'll come full circle

All I was, All I was

The meek and I are the same
Been denied a given right
I could not preserve

With memories I cannot erase
The devil has been my friend for so long
I don't think I can live without

Rearrange and disengage
With my feet on the ground
Holding my head up high
I'll come full circle

All I was, All I was

Strangled smile coming undone
When your born inside the fire
You can't keep living this way

But I'm not living like a refugee
And there could be such a thing
As righting all my wrongs

Rearrange and disengage
With my feet on the ground
Holding my head up high
I'll come full circle

All I was, All I was

All I was
All I could be
All I should be
All I was
