Dead From The Start

Life is given the day your born
Standing tall on a pedestal
A slow burn that is contagious
A knowing view in white

When your heart is dying
The memories are already gone
Summer and spring are fresh skin
I can't tell the difference between the two

I know time is dear
Why fight what will be
Laying cold in a wooden tomb
A lonely grave surrounded by trees

I know we're dead from the start

You live your life as you please
With one heart that will seize to mend
One tree as your haven until you die
And another seed will take your place

I know time is dear
Why fight what will be
Laying cold in a wooden tomb
A lonely grave surrounded by trees

I know we're dead from the start

When your gone do you feel content
I might pale a little knowing the end is near
If your rose is still alive then feel free to speak
But the story will not go on

I know time is dear
Why fight what will be
Laying cold in a wooden strong
A lonely grave surrounded by trees

I know we're dead from the start
