"The Winter Prayer"
Relax
Breath in
winter will consume you
parallax
breath out
winter breeze will chill you
Here comes the arctic wind
her comes her icy reach.
stand back
count your feet
winter blood runs raw and free
sit down
breath in
winter will consume you.
here comes the arctic wind
here comes her icy reach.
Here we go its all happening
all i want is your body to keep me warm
in my heart your love will keep me alive
all i know
and all i find
is the darkness spreads
in the back of my mind
keep me safe to morning light,
amen.

I grew up in deep snow country. Cabin Fever made me crazy, and usually quick so I get the vibe of this. I went South when I was 18 and never looked back. lol Like your picture it is lovely to look at. But like the mood of the piece, old man Winter is a bit of a trickster, and all that loveliness fades with a mood of isolation, as well as numbness blanketing it.
You translated all that well here :)

Cheers maggie that means alot. its very cold here at the moment, it reminds me when i went traveling around America and Europe. Berlin was the coldest i have ever been i had the entire contents of my backpack on and i was still cold. But i do love winter, it holds such amazing memory's. i remember nigra falls was freezing an then crossing over to Canada it was so cold. Great memory's.

Wonderful poem, I love winter, I love the desolate feeling of winter when all is white.
The world seems more vibrant, due to the fact that all is white I always loose sense of time.
I love the silent times when I go inwards for inspiration and gathering energy
(here its going to be minus 15, but our winters are up to minus 25!)
