a Lovely Pennant
You watch the seasons change,
from a broken heart
and clouded mind,
you know
winter has to come
but not why,
you try
to wash
the dirt from your face,
but someone cracked your mirror,
someones
cracked
your
mirror....
Our lives on a wire
with fingertips we clinge,
onto
fleeting moments
of meaning,
and sort through
old photographs
of the person
you used to be,
Just forget
about
all the goings inbetween,
and listen
to the song
with little lover's,
so polite there voices
will resonate
with clarity,
So fly
your love
like a flag,
be free be true
and sing
until your lungs collapse,
For we are here
for a moment
don't
let
it pass,
and know
there is hope
and acceptance
and there is chance
with each day we have
from a broken heart
and clouded mind,
you know
winter has to come
but not why,
you try
to wash
the dirt from your face,
but someone cracked your mirror,
someones
cracked
your
mirror....
Our lives on a wire
with fingertips we clinge,

be free be true
and sing
until your lungs collapse,

with each day we have
