Short Of Forever
I fell in love the first time we met
What a perfect day to remember
Your arms around me as the sun set
Hearing serenades as the thunder crashed
My lips on your neck as waves splashed
I still feel it all on this day of November
I just can't wait to see you again
This life is too short, so lets make it forever
I hope you read these words from my pen
and, tell me today that you'll never leave
For you my dear I'd wear my heart on my sleeve
If you ever feel like crying I'll be there whenever
These mornings pass by and I can't help but miss you
More and more I wish you were next to me
The sun is rising and I don't know what to do
I might just fall asleep until you appear
Or, waste away the day until you're near
I hope you know that you're my ecstasy
The only one who can make me smile
You're my best friend and my darling lover
Lets make this last and count every mile
All the moments we spend together
Holding hands or in bad weather
We'll make this world ours to discover
