O let me share the night with you
so dark
with just a candle flame twinned in the mirror
and secrets whisper as though this the first time were
for so it is, yet not

In sigh-soft breeze your curtains shift but scarce at all
Love helps us find a way, for there are many,
yet no way to lost
for to be lost in love is what we seek   and are
After a while the candle dims and quickly out
and nothing now to see except I lie awake and watch your pale body sleep
