you’re a mystery I’ll never grow bored of
I think about how long you’ve known me
and realise you don’t know me at all
it’s like we’re communing with blinkers on
only seeing what we want to see
only showing what we want to show
you had my heart
stole it still beating from my chest
and for all my love
I don’t know you at all
in the depravity of new revelations
I don’t want you to see me like this
because true love is a myth
and I fear you’d run
from the new person I’ve become
so keep your secrets, sweetheart
and I’ll keep mine
life is a little easier
when we choose to be blind
