Klaxon Days
Klaxon days
are candy days
without the stripes
the muted wind
that blows tree tops
down into the corner vision of your eye
Daylight cracking of torn windswept billboards
rain turning the day rusty
lights on at 3 in the afternoon
stuffed steamy shopping centre
of no hope people
yoga in coffee shops
and whiplash girls
in brothels
trying to be tender
are candy days
without the stripes
the muted wind
that blows tree tops
down into the corner vision of your eye
Daylight cracking of torn windswept billboards
rain turning the day rusty
lights on at 3 in the afternoon
stuffed steamy shopping centre
of no hope people
yoga in coffee shops
and whiplash girls
in brothels
trying to be tender
