notice...that our collected manuscripts
the flowery prose
those litanies of melancholy
and or those periodicals of influence
these will never measure up to what we really meant them to be
they’re only momentary stand-ins for underlining thought
spirit held captive by the biology
the poet’s theology

what’s meant to be is...unnerving impatience
unexpected hassles, belly laughs
the ones not tracked within their moment
those re-markers precariously seated on a bar stool
engaging rage in each twirling rampage

forget about our out of breath stanzas
forget our letters with their humorous & cursive fonts
their inscriptions deemphasizing poignant meaning

even premature babies eventually require weaning

the worthiness of words is to be shown  
then & only then will lost causes become found
they will reappear as new found reasons
reasons to explain away the apathy
all this as we' continue trying to make sense
making sense of all we don't, can't or refuse to see
what we refuse to know
we'll just guess at and
just launch and...let it go

just toss turn write about more ways to show

love

but, first or last...we will need to inhale the pain
but lets also exhale the joy...and with it
all the in between that makes us


stop


then begin again
fresh.
