Glass Cradle

Hush a bye baby
Your skin ivory
Eyes black and glinting
Burn as much indignation
As you can onto my
Chest with a branding iron
It wont feel different
To how I feel now
Little, tiny, angel wings
Flawless in all the
Pain it drills into my flesh
You were an undercover agent
From the blue sky
Coming to rip my heart out
Stapelling it to the clouds
'Medals of honour'
You partook in a
Secluded hideout in my belly
For six months
Stealing all that love
I can never have back
(I love you, I love you, I do)
The heavy breathing
The waiting
The moment we realized
You were gone
The sorries
The screaming-no, no, no-
Did you know they make
Coffins baby-sized?
Your cradle broke and fell
Smashing into a million pieces
As sharp as glass
Slicing my future into shreds
Hush a bye baby
Hushed for eternity
