why do you divide good people
time and time again you do me wrong but i let it slide
i put my pride aside
sometimes i need you and decide that in you i can confide
then comes the time when, you pride, you have my tongue-tide
and leave me rueing missed chances and dissatisfied
and contemplating suicide.
but i too have too much pride to harm myself at your expense.
so i sit back and make mysel
f feel good in self-defence
