Caliban and Ariel

Caliban and Ariel
together from the sky they fell

And Prospero came in between
the interloper in their dream.

For Prospero the book did wield
that by its power all must yield.

One the slave with urge corrupt
to have what is denied by luck,

The other voice of nature's fire
free as the light of Golden power.

How can betrayal be undone
and power serve for all and one?

What is the power of the book
that in the depths all nature shook

And offered up the power to one
who must decide what will be done?

Can one enslave to be unslaved --
enslave the power all would crave?

The answer to the mystery
is in the word that sets us free.
