Slug Or Hug

I've seen a lot from dealing with men
Its far from heavenly
Its far from love
The heart of men is continuously evil
And I've got everyday people on my side
Peeps you see on a regular
Who can read their smile?
Their words come from all sides
Today they praise
Tomorrow they slander
Still you have to roll along
And try to stay strong
Even though you're wrong
You trust knowing the outcome
For betrayal's synonymous to man
As you move on
Approaching your glorious becoming
You see them turning
Strange characters forming
As the plot thickens
In oblivion you play the character in a script that's been written years before you were born
Fate has us all in the end
And tragedy comes mostly from a family or friend
How sick's that?
I sit in solitude and presume
Poets get lonely too
I find companion in my soul
We exchange ideas in this mental conversation
Between me and the man within
I ask what will become of me
With all these responsibilities that's been given to me
Will I get a hug after all
Or will I simply catch a slug and fall?
