Don't Realize...

I know you want to bring me down,
Look, give it a break, I've already lost,
You can curse and swear all you want,
But my eyes will roam to another face,
My mind will wander to another place,
Leave me in peace,
Because I'm never listening,
To your words so threatening.

You speak so many things untrue,
Things you don't have power to do,
I don't understand why you say these things,
What can you prove to a dead soul like me,
I already know my faults and I'm ashamed,
Your not one to talk,
About my mistakes and faults,
I stand silent and take the verbal abuse,
You don't realize you give.
