Grand Opus: The End of Shadows 0006
Chapter Two: The Effective Route or Not
A. Morality Aside
With the end of morality,
in that no one can ultimately be good,
we begin to see the need
for a new way to think logically,
without the fanfare of wealth
or power nipping at our boots.
The seduction of the mind
begins with poorly understood
emotions and so it is just and fair
to take the most basic road
to understand the logic
behind the lust for power
and the need for wealth.
The drive to make sense of the world
is so overpowering that illogic
will assert itself at the wheel
of existence in order for those in charge
to have gained the right to tell
everyone else that their own
survival is paramount and above all needs.
Anything that threatens this,
must be eliminated, they believe.
Know this then:
We take nothing with us
and so the end of our work
as human beings is to leave
a legacy that must endure
that we might live beyond
the lives we spend.
The vector and magnitude
of that legacy is the measure
of a human's value to him,
unless he finds a higher calling.
Above my own life,
I value yours.
So the truth then:
the illusion of power
and the falsehood
of feeling the surge
of strength in ourselves
remains a garish nightmare
in that all energy becomes
consumed in the end.
Our eternal lives speak
among the stars
as wind and dust,
and only in the beauty
of the moment
painted on a snowflake
resides in realm
of quick joys
and sad refrains.
Just so, do not get then caught up
in the drawn dagger of reason
but rather enjoin the circular dance
of metaphoric sense,
the play of words,
the delicate phrase,
for in the art
of gentle persuasion's edge
is the subtle realm
of undarkened radiance.
The idea then:
Hold no dogma,
seek no doctrine,
hold no secrets,
and guard no treasures.
All will leave,
including you,
and so do not seek
to lengthen
any hold
but rather pass
along the effectiveness
of life
a berry on the vine
with morning dew to drink,
manna for the day
and nothing more.
If you can attain to this,
Harmonic mine,
we will have bridged all.
Though light years away,
remain no distance in heart or mind
from your maternal source,
