Driftwood Fading
Stretching naked
on the keyboard
I leave my ego
to shrink and shrivel
Truth's warm glow
touching all
I go quietly
to bathe in crystal
the husk of what remains
borne away
on concentric ripples
growing distant
with every breath
Thoughts dance
words form
time shuts its eyes
I am freed
to float in the light
wherever I am called
A poem
surrenders gently
to now
The shore beckons
and I am cleansed
head eager
for soft pillows
feather plumped
by trance
my shy driftwood
gratefully accepting
this gracious gift
of peace
