Welcome To New Orleans

 Welcome to New Orleans

A massive car crash along the endless bridge
The entire outgoing section is blocked for miles

Wall of cars and people surround you
You will pay for everything

Trolly cars waiting for hours
Railroads screeching by making you deaf

But the people smile
They have bright souls good and bad

A drunk homeless man curses me
as police surround him

Voodoo shops
A statue like man with blinking eyes dressed  in skulls takes your picture

Art fill the sidewalks
Of every type to entice you

Street performers
Robots
hip-hop dancers
people in drag
The women on stripper poles
The naked strays running across you
Parades that give you multicolor beads
Coffee houses
Powdered sugar
The bars that have people ranting
alongside the beautiful restaurant
Equipped with a flaming water pond
Alligator bites
Crawfish cakes
A trio of the most famous dishes
As darkness descends
The end to a long night
Getting ribbed by a guard
Then walking hand in hand with the most beautiful soul.

This place is alive
For good and bad

It's like the crossroads to everything life has to often
Even the most deft could enjoy
If you are alive at all
You will experience it all

So give it a try
Welcome

To this world on drugs
Without being on them

To this new world with this one
Where everyone can do what they want

NOLA smiles upon you.
