Can you die from a broken heart?
Does the will just ebb away
Floating down the stream of silent tears
Do all the dreams crumble?
Collapsing cliffs undermined by the sea of sorrow
Does time pass interminably?
Each moment stretching until the elastic finally snaps
Does the heart falter?
Becoming comatose
Slowly dying as the soul bleeds away

Maybe a broken heart is a little like an illness, like a cancer or so on. Wonderful.
